The Kiss...

My favorites are vintage photos from forties and fifties about pin-up girls and sailors.
There is a photo that I like particularly and it is called “the kiss”. It is very famous, and it is about a kiss between a sailor boy and a nurse girl and it was taken on the V-J Day, Aug. 14, 1945 -- World War II was finally over and everybody were celebrate in the New York's Times Square. This photo was taken by a photographer from the “LIFE” magazine called Alfred Eisentaedt.
I love this photo because I think it is so beautiful and perfect, I like the black and white and the old costumes. Also I like this one because there is a mystery about it. Nobody knows who are the sailor and the nurse; so many people have said that they were and even many facial experts have participated in this search, but there is not enough evidence to prove who the real couples are.
I think we will never know the truth, but it is ok because the mystery makes this photo more interesting.
Personally I really enjoy taking photos; actually it is one of my favorite hobbies.  Now I do not have a camera because mine does not work, but I always use my boyfriend`s camera and we take it anywhere we go.
In addition I like to draw these old photos, and I collect old magazines form USA and I have some Chilean old magazine too form the forties, fifties and sixties, because I like the vintage fashion and the kind of hairstyle from those photos.

I add to this post the famous photo “The Kiss”, that in fact is my profile photo since I made this blog, and a draw (I am sorry if it has not good quality) and a photo of mine.
